Given the dynamics of the fast changing world. It has become imperative for parents and stakeholders from Northern Nigeria to allow the girl child to get enough education before marrying them off. This position was again canvassed by the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Dr. Hamid Bobboyi, who noted that girls' education remains very crucial to national development of any country. Bobboyi, who stated this at the commissioning of Girl Child Community Center, Gafia village in Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina state, noted that without education of the girl child, it would be difficult to change our society. In his words; "We should allow them to finish at least secondary school education before marrying them off".
