United Nations Commend El Rufai As Gender Sensitive Governor

  United Nations has commended Kaduna State role as one of the most gender sensitive states in the Nigeria and giving women opportunity to serve the state. UN Women Deputy Country Representative, Mr. Lansana Wonneh expressed this during the launch of the Coalition and presentation of the collaborative framework on increased women’s leadership in COVID-19 response and recovery held in kaduna yesterday. According to him, information available to him revealed that Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) that drives the health response in the state is headed by a woman, Dr. Amina Baloni with many women as members. He added that the state standing committee on Covid-19 is chaired by the Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe and has all the female commissioners in the state cabinet as members.
